Breakout 5: Using data to plan transport policies

45 min
13:30 – 14:15
Room 1

The use of data and technology in all its forms is crucial to help transport planners and this session will explore the many ways in which it can be used, from planning demand responsive transport, helping local authorities run Future Transport Zones, the planning of public transport to launching new ticketing platforms. If all the data gathered by various transport organisations and authorities was shared and available for use for analysis it would make a huge difference to transport planning. What should the Government to do to make that happen?
