England’s Economic Heartland
Naomi joined England’s Economic Heartland in 2018 and in March 2022, became EEH’s Managing Director.
Naomi is responsible for delivering EEH’s work programme, including preparation and implementation of the regional Transport Strategy to 2050: ensuring EEH is driving forward the region’s ambitions for supporting economic growth while delivering a decarbonised transport system. In her work, Naomi places significant emphasis on placed-based approaches to planning and investing in connectivity. By focusing on people and places, Naomi believes we will be able to deliver a transport system that enables users to have choice in the way they move and connect with people and opportunities. Prior to joining EEH, Naomi worked in both the government’s Cities and Local Growth Unit and the Department for Transport, including as Head of Cycling Policy and Head of the DfT’s approach to Housing Growth policy.
